IDEAS is a fabless IC supplier based in Oslo, Norway. We design integrated circuits for the readout of radiation detectors and image sensors in space and on Earth.
We offer integrated circuits for the readout of radiation detectors and image sensors. Our ICs are designed for low noise and low power consumption, supporting detectors such as CZT, CdTe, TlBr, silicon, PMTs, MCPs, APDs, SiPMs, and MPPCs. On the infrared side, our rad-hard ASICs support a variety of detector types such as MCT, T2SL, InGaAs, HgCdTe (MCT), and microbolometers (VOx, a-Si).
Many of our circuits are radiation-hardened for use in space, with protection against latch-up and single-event upsets. Recent designs enable functions including photon counting, dose monitoring, waveform sampling, cryogenic operation, and infrared focal-plane array readout.
Circuits are supplied as bare dice (BD) or packaged chips, typically from stock with short lead times. We can deliver with application-specific boards (COB) or carrier boards (CB). While application-specific, many ICs can be adapted for a range of uses. Development systems are available for most products to support quick integration and prototyping.
